This 11 in. Ceiling Support is for use on low sloping ceilings or any installation where the finished ceiling surface is not yet installed. When the finished ceiling surface (sheetrock, wood or other material) then it should be installed snug up to this box. There is a metal trim kit that is available to cover unsightly cuts in the ceiling but we find that it is often more attractive to make the cuts carefully and finish the sheetrock finish up to the box for a clean installation. If your ceiling surface is already installed then you can use the 6WCS ceiling support with a trim already installed on it to cover your cut of the ceiling.
6" X 11" Ceiling Support for White Metal Triple wall chimney pipe
This ceiling support is for ceilings that are Flat to 4/12 Pitch - the box is 14" x 14" square at the base and hangs down into the room at least 2" on all sides. The support box needs to hang into the room far enough for the interior pipe to be the proper clearance horizontally from any combustible materials, 18" for single wall pipe and 6" for single wall pipe with pipe shields or double wall close clearance interior stovepipe.
