This "Tristack" chimney system is from the White Metal company. It is triple wall air insulated chimney pipe tested to either 1700 degrees or 2100 degrees "HT" standards and both are available here.
You can modify this package to suit your situation by using the options listed at the bottom of this page. This chimney system has a lifetime warrantee on the parts from the ceiling to the cap.
This basic chimney system includes the average combination of parts for a single story chimney installation with a flat ceiling and low pitched roof. To build your system it is often most convenient to start with this system in your shopping cart and add pieces as needed. Even if it includes parts you don't need we can replace those with others and adjust charges to match the actual system you need.
Chimney Installation Specifications and Tips:
This chimney pipe is 11 inch outside diameter and requires 2 inch of clearance to any combustible materials. It must rise thru the roof to a height that is 2 feet taller than the nearest surface within 10 feet horizontally, which is usually the ridge. The chimney is also required to extend at least 3 feet from the roofline. If the chimney extends over 4 feet from the roof surface then support bars are required to stabilize it. half inch thin walled conduit from a electrical or hardware store is often used. The chimney sits in a support box that is 14 inches square and attaches to the ceiling framing on all four sides by 3 screws or nails each. The 6WCS support box included here has a trim attached to it and is designed for a finished level ceiling. If your ceiling has a slope or is unfinished then you need to order an 11 inches deep or deeper support box to hang into the room far enough for the connection to the interior stovepipe to be far enough away from the ceiling for safe clearances. Single wall stovepipe requires 18 inches clearance to combustibles and double wall pipe or single wall with pipe shields require 6 inch clearance.
We find that the 8 inch chimney pipe gets too easily dinged up when we ship with UPS so we put the system on a pallet and ship with a freight company in a tractor trailer. To do this we need to deliver to a business address whenever possible. Many customers just ask a local lumberyard to let them have it dropped off there or any business where they can receive a big truck like that. So, include a business address for the shipping address if possible.
Make sure your phone number is listed with your order so we can contact you regarding shipping arrangements and the delivery truck can reach you to confirm details and timing if needed. Here are the specific details that are needed to determine just what pipe to use to build your complete system. If you need help figuring out exactly what you need to purchase we will be glad to review your order before shipping and can refund or charge additional as needed to change the order before it ships out.
