Exciting News! The Renewable Energy Tax Credit has just been reinstated for 2013

Good news If you’re considering buying a wood or pellet stove!

The Renewable Energy Tax Credit that expired at the end of 2011 has not only been reinstated for 2013, but is also retroactive for all of 2012. This means that if you purchased a qualifying stove in 2012, you can still claim the tax credit credit. This is great news for new purchases, too, because you can claim a 10% tax credit on a qualifying new wood or pellet stove up to $300. When this ended in 2011, we were not expecting to see another incentive program like this come along again. This is probably the last time we will see this so make sure you take advantage of it.

Hearthstone Heritage

Hearthstone Heritage

The Senate Committee on Finance included in a bill, the Family and Business Tax Cut Certainty Act, the extension of energy efficiency tax credits including the $300 “25C tax credit” for home installation of biomass stoves and boilers. The bill would allow residential consumers to continue to be eligible for the tax credit until December 31, 2013, a two-year extension of the previous deadline. There’s no better time than now to upgrade your old, inefficient wood or pellet stove with new, modern technology that will save you money every hour you burn while it’s keeping you warm and cozy.

The great thing about the tax credit is that it’s independent of other sales, so this savings is in addition to other discounts we offer on the various brands we carry. We have clearance pricing now on select Avalon Stoves, discontinued Hearthstone models, and new Hearthstone models for local customers or customers that don’t have a local dealer within 100 miles. We also carry Jamestown pellet stoves, known for their reliability, and the economical Windsor line of woodstoves. You could potentially save up to $700-$800. or more on this entire package! Take advantage now of this great opportunity to save money and add a beautiful and functional addition to your home.

Chimney Care

Chimney Care~~A wood stove is a wonderful way to reduce your heating bill and add aesthetics to your home.  A wood stove can be added to your home easily after construction.  A wood stove chimney carries the smoke and toxic gasses out of your home.  While operating the wood stove, exhaust materials are unburned and wood particles collect on the inside of the chimney pipe.  This buildup is called creosote and can lead to a chimney fire.

Always use dry wood for your fire.  Green or wet wood burns less efficiently and creates more creosote formation in your chimney.  Dry fresh cut wood for at least six months before burning.  Keep the wood dry by covering from rain or snow.

Burn small, hot fires A small, hot fire creates less creosote.  Do not overload or crowd your wood stove, these fires burn cooler and slower.  Be sure to read your manufacturer’s instructions for your stove to learn how to use the damper to burn the most efficient fire.

Clean the Chimney   You must clean and inspect your chimney at least once a year or more if the creosote builds up to a quarter inch.  Burning green or wet wood will require cleaning more often as creosote will buidup faster.

Your chimney is crucial to making your fireplace or stove safe and enjoyable.

Is Gas Stove Heating for you?

Gas Stoves have become increasingly popular in the last 10 years. There are literally hundreds of styles and sizes made, designed to fit any decor and budget. Gas Stoves are designed to look like their wood burning counterparts, and modern designs have created simulated logs and flames that cannot be distinguished from the real thing!

Gas Stoves are not only pretty to look at – they can also provide an increased sense of heating security since they do not need electricity to operate. You might not have to abandon your home the next time the power goes out during a winter storm.

There are many different ventilations for these units:
Vent Free, Ventless, Direct Vent and Natural “B” Vent gas stoves
Direct Vented – Can be vented straight out through the wall or up through the roof (Direct Vent)
Top Vented – These units need a chimney or vent exiting the roof (Natural B Vent)
Ventless | Vent Free – Need no Vent or Chimney – these exhaust into your home (Vent-Free)

In addition to gas stoves great heating alternatives would be: Pellet Stoves, Fireplace inserts and Wood Stoves

Another Happy International Customer

We would like to thank you for the heat shield we bought off you for our woodburner it is exactly what we wanted we tried to get hold of one in the uk but nobody was interested in trying to help us. We have never seen them for sale in the UK, the people who sell the fires are not interested once they have sold you a fire. Your service and parcel tracking were absolutely superb. We do not get service like yours in britain they could learn a lot from people like you. Once again many thanks for your help its good to see firms like yours still exist.

New aftermarket Control Board available for the Whitfield Renaissance & Prodigy and Waterford Erin

We have a new Whitfield Renaissance & Prodigy and Waterford Erin Aftermarket Control Board available now that replaces either the SSAC control board or the ICM control board.

You will receive the circuit board and will need to mount it in the aluminum frame your old board is now installed in and reuse your existing knob. This circuit board has a 90 day warranty.

Whitfield Renaissance & Prodigy and Waterford Erin Control Board
This will work with pellet stoves that have the control panel to the
right.
Whitefield Renaissance & Prodigy and Waterford Erin Control Panel

This is a great addition to our line of control boards, since the SSAC control board hasn’t been available from the manufacturer since 2007 and the ICM is only available until sold out. Even if you need the ICM version, this aftermarket pellet stove control board is quite a bit less expensive.

This SSAC control board is distinguished by finding 4 small brass pins for wiring connection of wires to a component on the blower. This aftermarket replacement board has the same 4 gold (real gold plating) pins on the back. If you leave the wire from the SSAC unit unattached, the blower will work just fine because it will control it as the ICM unit would.

The SSAC control board (Whitfield/Lennox part#13056100) is used with the:

- Renaissance serial Number 3608 and above
- Prodigy with serial numbers 2283 and above
- Waterford Erin pellet stove in later years with these Whitfield components.

The factory 13045900 ICM single speed Whitfield Renaissance & Waterford Erin Control Board is also available and was designed to function with the Prodigy and Renaissance Pellet stoves that fall within the following serial range:

-Prodigy serial # range 1001-2281
-Renaissance serial # range 1001-3607

The only previous option for the SSAC control board was to try to rebuild it. Now you can get a new aftermarket model with a 90 day warranty for not much more than the rebuild would have cost. We’re commuted to finding the resources for parts you need to help keep your Whitfield or Waterford pellet stove happily working for you through the winter!

Start-up is incredibly easy with the FastFire self-igniter and suddenly you have a bright, vibrant fire that delivers up to 38,000 BTU heating. With exceptional fuel capacity and up to 41 hours of continuous operation, the Profile 30 exemplifies why homeowners love the performance of these modern pellet stoves.

WHITFIELD PROFILE 30 PELLET STOVE

WHITFIELD PROFILE 30 PELLET STOVE

This stove is not only aesthetically pleasing with it’s bay-view design but is also extremely efficient with it’s patented UltraGrate that achieves nearly 100% combustion and emits just 1.9 grams of particulate per hour, eight times less than Federal Emissions Standards. It delivers up to 38,000 BTUs an hour with an efficiency rating of 81%. A wall mount thermostat allows automatic, customized control of the room temperature. An exclusive air wash system prevents ash build-up on the viewing glass for unobstructed fire viewing.

With the largest ash pan available, it requires emptying only 2-3 times a year. It comes with a self-igniter and it’s large 50 lb. hopper and innovative automatic feed system eliminates constant tending to the fire and burnout. It’s also able to burn both “Premium” and “Standard” grade wood pellet fuel with up 3% ash content as defined by the Pellet Fuels Institute (PFI). This unit comes with the ignitor and log set but the heat ex-changer rod is broken.

This is a great stove in good condition that we’ve test burned. It was cared for well by it’s previous owner. You can read more on our website.
