Fuel Cost Comparison
Calculate the cost to heat your home per month with six different fuel types! The Link below will guide you through the steps to determine the most cost effective fuel to use in your home, and automatically calculate your approximate savings.
Enter in your local cost of fuel:
Determine the amount of BTU''s required to heat your home per month (this can vary greatly depending on region, home insulation, heat use, etc.).
Calculate the present cost of heating and the new cost of heating if you are considering a different type of fuel by multiplying the cost per million BTU''s (C) for the type of fuel used, by the amount of BTU''s required per month (D). Make sure to check your present heating bill against the amount of BTU''s required per month to make sure the amount is correct.
Subtract the new heating cost from your present heating cost to determine savings.
