Self Service Guide to Finding Parts & Troubleshooting Problems

  1.  This process will guide you to find everything you need!
    Including the
    Parts list, Owner's and Technical Service manuals which are necessary for any troubleshooting and repair. Save these to your computer for future reference. If you exhaust these resources and cannot figure out what you need then send us an email with your stove's make, model and serial number and symptoms with related conclusions based on troubleshooting efforts and we will forward it to the factory technical department for that stove to get further assistance.
  2. Find your stove’s make, model and serial number.  This is usually listed on an aluminum label on your stove under the hopper lid, on back or by the gas valve. Some inserts hide the label inside the fireplace so removing the stove may be the only way to find it. This information is crucial to finding the correct parts. If you are having trouble identifying your Whitfield or Quadrafire pellet stove model, then check out the “IDENTIFY YOUR STOVE” page. One of the best ways to confirm this information is to download the owner's manual from our web site and compare the features. If you get the wrong one we will send another free of charge!
  3.  Get your owner’s manual and technical service manuals - Once you have your stove's make and model download your stove manuals from the documents section of our web site. The manuals will have parts descriptions, maintenance instructions and troubleshooting that is always the first place to go for help. If you download a manual for your stove and it is not right, just email a request for another one and we will send free of charge.
  4.  Free parts lists - Get your parts list to find all parts for each stove. This is also a good way to positively identify a Whitfield stove since all serial numbers are listed at the top of each page for each product. Since their serial numbers ran in sequence as models changed this helps you make sure they know which model you have and shows all current part numbers for all parts in the stove listed below each model. 
  5. Using the SEARCH box on our site - Each page on our website contains a search box on the upper left margin of our web pages. Search for your parts by typing in the part number from current parts list. Many part numbers have changed since the stove was made and manual was printed but we try to list old and new part numbers on products pages making them searchable. Or you can type in a part description like: “Whitfield combustion blower” “Whitfield blower” “auger motor Advantage II” “low limit switch” etc.
