This programmable thermostat comes pre-programmed with a morning setting of 70 degrees at 7am, 60 degrees at 9am, 70 degrees at 5pm and 60 degrees at 11pm for both weekdays and weekends. This program is easily adjusted to your preferences for weekends and another series for weekends so that it fits your personal needs. If you have a time when you want a higher or lower temperature than the preset program you can simply press the up or down buttons on the face of the thermostat and the word "override" comes up on the screen and it will hold that setting until the next timer cycle starts and it will resume it's regular programmed cycles. If you choose to hold a certain temperature for a long period of time you can simply press the "hold" button and adjust it to the desired temperature and it will hold that temperature until the hold button is pressed again. This is helpful when you leave the home for a period of time and you want to set the temperature to 50 degrees or any temperature to conserve fuel in your absence.
